The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has assessed the health claim submitted by the applicant regarding Pacran®, a cranberry powder, and its role in defending against bacterial pathogens in the lower urinary tract. EFSA concluded that the evidence provided supports a beneficial physiological effect of Pacran® in this context. The applicant identified two human intervention studies that demonstrated the product's efficacy. The evaluation is part of EFSA's ongoing efforts to assess health claims related to food supplements and their impact on human health.
