Hemp (Cannabis sativa) herb is a novel food in the EU. Herb means the aerial part, including includes leaves, stems and inflorescences. Pervious evaluations concerned seeds and leaf infusions, which are considered not novel and do not contain cannabinoids or cannabidiol. The herb is a novel food only in the cases in which it is not a narcotic.
