Japan Partially Revises Quasi-drug Ingredient Standards 2021

On March 21, 2025, the Ministry of Health, labour and Welfare (MHLW) published the Partial Revision of the Quasi-drug Ingredients Standards 2021"". This standard will be applied from March 21, 2025 onwards. However previous precedents may be followed till September 30, 2026 but from October 01, 2026, this revised standard is applicable. The partial revisions are carried out on following general test methods.1. Acrylonitrile test method2. Quantitative analysis of anionic surfactants3. Ester Value Measurement Method4.
