On 4 February 2026, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated an addendum and related notifications at the request of the delegations of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. The addendum informs WTO Members that the Draft East African Standard DEAS 1103: 2022 - Base oil - Specification has been adopted by Tanzania on 31 October 2025 as the national standard TZS 4058:2025 / EAS 1103: 2023 - Base oil - Specification.
