On 10 February 2026, World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated TBT notification on behalf of the notifying member China(State Administration for Market Regulation), acting through the Standardisation Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
The notified document is the draft national standard Regulations concerning road transport of dangerous goods - Part 1: Naming requirement and dangerous goods list. Inorganic chemicals, organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, dyes, essential oils and fragrances, soap, explosives, and miscellaneous chemical products (HS Chapters 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38; ICS 03.220.20).
The standard specifies precise naming requirements for dangerous goods transported by road, defines the structure and content of the official dangerous goods list for road transport, and sets out special requirements for dangerous goods packed in limited quantities and excepted quantities. It applies to all road transport of dangerous goods in China.
Objective is Protection of human health or safety; protection of animal or plant life, or health.
