On February 19, 2026, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a final cancellation order approving voluntary requests from multiple registrants to cancel certain pesticide product registrations and amend others to terminate specific uses under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The action follows a November 20, 2025, notice of receipt and a 30-day public comment period during which no comments were received and no requests were withdrawn. As a result, EPA finalized the cancellation of numerous fungicide, herbicide, and insecticide products and approved label amendments removing certain uses, such as home and garden and specific crop applications. The cancellations and amendments became effective February 19, 2026. Registrants may generally sell and distribute existing stocks of canceled products for one year (or 18 months for specified products), while products subject to use terminations may be distributed under previously approved labeling for up to 18 months. After these periods, sale and distribution are limited to export or proper disposal, and end users may continue using existing stocks consistent with previously approved labeling until supplies are exhausted.
