On March 9, 2026, the Thai Food and Drug Administration published a notification in Volume 143, Page 12 of the Government Gazette, revising the procedures for food registration numbers. The regulation entered into force on the date of publication. The main provisions include:

1. Scope of products requiring food registration numbers.
Applications apply to processed milk and dairy products such as yogurt, ice cream, sealed packaged beverages, sealed packaged foods, instant coffee, electrolyte beverages, dietary supplements, and royal jelly.

2. import documentation requirements.
imported products within the above categories must submit the original product quality inspection report issued by the competent authority of the country of origin or by a recognized testing institution.

3. Label modification procedures.
For product label modifications that do not involve changes to nutritional value, such as revisions to production license numbers or the addition of warning statements, applications for modification may be submitted electronically to the Food and Drug Administration.
