On February 3, 2026 (ROC year 115-02-03), Ministry of Environment (Taiwan), through the Chemical Substances Management Agency, promulgated amendments to Articles 2 and 7 of the "Standards for Licensing and Inspection Fees for Environmental Drugs" (also referred to as the "Environmental Drug Application and Inspection Fee Standards").
The revisions were made to implement the user-pay principle and reflect updated costs. The Ministry reviewed data review procedures, required manpower, equipment expenses, and other factors for various application and inspection cases under the "Environmental Drug Management Act," incorporating adjustments based on the price index.
Key amendment points include:
1. Reviewing and revising existing review fees for permits and approvals with reference to the price index, review/inspection procedures, manpower, and equipment costs.
2. Adding new review fees for applications related to approval, extension of approval documents, and approval of natural substance products intended for environmental insect control, rodent control, or attracting purposes.
