On 6 February 2026 Saudi Food and Drug Authority suspends dealings with International Food Company over regulatory violations until compliance is achieved
Saudi Food & Drug Authority has issued this official Circular No. 2/37719 addressed to all cosmetic manufacturers, importers, and warehouse managers in the Kingdom.
It is strictly prohibited to use any phrases, expressions, or logos on cosmetic product labels or packaging that imply or suggest the product is manufactured or specially intended for a specific geographical area other than the Saudi market.
Such wording violates the basic requirements of the Cosmetic Claims Regulation (SFDA.CO/GSO 2528).
Enforcement:
A. All concerned parties must immediately stop adding such phrases or logos.
B. Any cosmetic products found with non-compliant labelling will not be cleared for release into the Saudi market.
The circular emphasizes SFDA’s ongoing monitoring and verification to ensure full compliance with approved technical regulations and standards for cosmetic products.
