On January 6th, 2026, the Guangzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration of China issued a public announcement commending enterprises that have actively fulfilled their cosmetic adverse reaction monitoring obligations in accordance with the Regulated and the Cosmetic Adverse Reaction Monitoring Management Measures. The announcement highlights that, through strengthened regulatory guidance, training, and collaborative governance, local cosmetic enterprises in Guangzhou have significantly enhanced their awareness and capacity to collect, identify, and report adverse reactions, resulting in an 88.89% year-on-year increase in proactive adverse reaction reporting in 2025. To recognize this progress and encourage broader industry participation in safety surveillance, the Administration intends to publicly commend 14 companies, including Guangzhou Procter & Gamble Co., Ltd., Amway (China) Daily Necessities Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Yatsen E-commerce Co., Ltd., and others that have demonstrated exemplary performance in monitoring and reporting cosmetic adverse reactions, urging all market participants to strengthen internal monitoring systems, comply with legal requirements, and contribute to a robust cosmetic safety risk monitoring network across the city
