The Kyrgyz Republic through the Eurasian Economic Commission has officially notified the WTO of proposed amendments to the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union "On the safety of perfumery and cosmetic products" (TR TC 009/2011). Orchestrated by the Eurasian Economic Commission, this update involves a comprehensive 44-page revision of Annexes 1 through 5 of the existing safety standards. The primary objective of these changes is to ensure the protection of human health and safety for all cosmetic products sold within the region.

Interested parties and stakeholders have until 2 April 2026 to submit their comments regarding these technical adjustments. Both the official adoption and the entry into force of these regulations are scheduled to take place no less than 180 days after the amendments are finalised. Documentation is currently available in Russian, and inquiries or feedback should be directed to the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Department for Technical Regulation and Accreditation.
