Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) has issued strict sanitary actions against four food items following unsatisfactory laboratory test results. The affected products include:
De Marchi Strawberry Pulp – Found to contain foreign matter, posing potential health risks. ANVISA has ordered a recall of the product.
Vale dos Vinhedos Olive Oil – Issues include unknown origin and labeling irregularities, leading to a suspension of sales.
Imperador Canned Mushrooms – Detected with excessive sulfur dioxide, a preservative that can cause allergic reactions. ANVISA has prohibited its commercialization.
Qualitá Garlic Sauce – Also found to contain sulfur dioxide, prompting a ban on its sale.
These measures aim to protect public health and ensure food safety compliance. ANVISA emphasized that manufacturers must adhere to labeling standards and ingredient safety limits. Consumers are advised to check product batches and avoid consumption of the affected items.
