The Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) announced the addition of four industrial chemicals to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory) under Section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019. These inclusions follow the 5-year period after the issuance of assessment certificates. Newly listed chemicals include:
1) Hexanedioic acid, polymer with 1,3-isobenzofurandione, polymethylenepolyphenylene isocyanate and 1,2-propanediol (CAS: 1141331-70-5)
2) Propane, 2-ethoxy-2-methyl- (CAS: 637-92-3)
3) Ethanol, 2-amino-, compounds with polyethylene glycol hydrogen sulfate C12-15-alkyl ethers (CAS: 162201-45-8)
4) 1-Propanamine, 3-(triethoxysilyl)-, polymer with 1,6-diisocyanatohexane (CAS: 254748-33-9)

These chemicals are now available for general industrial use, but importers and manufacturers must notify AICIS within 28 days if their usage circumstances differ from those assessed.
