The regulation replaces fixed fees with a 0.5% tariff based on the declared FOB value of imported goods. This change applies to food items, packaging materials, and products intended for industrial use. The goal is to increase transparency, reduce financial burdens, and align tariffs more proportionally with product value. The new system will take effect 30 days after publication and is part of broader efforts to simplify and modernize Argentinas food import procedures.
